Rugby union, often purely
referred to as rugby, is a full make contact with team sport which originate in
England in the early 19th century. One of the two codes of rugby football, it
is based on organization with the ball in hand. It is played with an
oval-shaped ball with a most width and length of 30 centimeters (12 in) and 62 centimeters
(24 in) correspondingly. It is play on a field up to 100 meters (330 ft) long
and 70 meters (230 ft) extensive with H-shaped goal post on each goal line.
William Webb Ellis is often official
with the development of running with the ball in hand in 1823 at Rugby School
when he allegedly immovable the ball while playing football and ran towards the
resistance goal.
However, the evidence for the story is unsure. In 1845, the
first football laws were on paper by Rugby School pupils; other important
events in the early development of rugby include the Black heath Club's assessment
to leave the Football Association in 1863 and the split between rugby union and
rugby association in 1895. In the past an amateur sport, in 1995 the
International Rugby Board (IRB) removed limitations on payments to players,
making the game candidly qualified at the highest level for the first time.Buy secure and guaranteed Hong Kong Rugby Sevens 2013 Tickets,
