2013 Hong Kong Sevens Tickets

The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union publicizes another sell-out for the world famous Hong Kong Rugby Sevens tournament. Only 4,000 tickets reserved for public sale were spread today via the HKRFU’s first ever public ticket ballot. At the close of the registration period for the ballot, on Monday 4th February, a total of 25,154 ballots were received applying for 49,602 tickets. Of the applications received, 95% requested to purchase the maximum individual allocation of two event tickets, should their ballots be drawn. The demand for an additional 49,602 Sevens tickets over and above the 36,000 tickets distributed to date, clearly surpasses the 40,000-seat capacity of the Hong Kong Stadium. The HKRFU welcomes the continued strong public demand for the Hong Kong Sevens Tickets. The public ballot has helped us to more accurately quantify the demand for Sevens tickets for the first time. This information is an important verification in our drive to work with all relevant parties for the development of a larger stadium in Hong Kong.
The public demand for Hong Kong Rugby Sevens Tickets far exceeds the capacity of the Hong Kong Stadium but the HKRFU is hopeful that the switch to a public ballot has at least offered all applicants an equal opportunity to purchase tickets, whilst at the same time offering a more convenient method for interested spectators to apply for these tickets. The ballot draw was held on Thursday 7th February from 1.00 to 4.00pm. The draw, which was attended by a representative of Price Waterhouse Coopers, was conducted via an electronic random number generating system developed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and verified by BMM Compliance, a long-established and experienced private independent gaming certification lab.
Successful applicants will now have two weeks to pay for their tickets Thursday, 7th February - Thursday, 21st February 2013. Ticket distribution will start in the week commencing Monday, 4th March, via collection from the Box Office at Hong Kong Stadium. With the hosting of 28 international teams for the first time in the event’s 38-year history, the 2013 Hong Kong Sevens promises to be the biggest and best Hong Kong Sevens ever. The official tournament draw will be held on Thursday, 21st February 2013, in Hong Kong. 2013 Hong Kong Sevens started from 22 March 2013 at Hong Kong Stadium. Unique functions ordinary to both football requirements consist of the square Rugby Football and the ban on tossing the Rugby Football ahead, so that Rugby Players can obtain floor only by operating with the basketball or by tossing it. As the experience of football group shifted further away from its partnership version, concept changes were applied with the aim of making a faster-paced and more try-orientated game. The main variations between the two activities, besides group having groups of 13 Rugby Players and partnership of 15, consist of the deal with and its result.
Rugby competition ownership following undertake: based on the scenario, either a maul can happen. Group Rugby Players may not competition ownership after making a tackle: perform is ongoing with a play-the-ball. In league, if the group in ownership is not able to ranking before a set of six discusses, it surrenders ownership. Partnership has no six-tackle rule; a group can keep the basketball for an endless variety of discusses before reviewing provided that it preserves ownership and does not make an offence. Set objects of the union code value include the scrum, in which features of opposite Rugby Players once against each other for ownership, and the line-out, in which similar collections of Rugby Players from each group, organized vertical with respect to the touch-line, make an effort to capture the basketball tossed from contact.
A concept has been included to line-outs which allow the bouncer to be drawn down once players’ legs are on the floor. In the group value, the scrum still prevails, but with decreased significance as it includes less Players and is hardly ever competitive. Set items are generally started from the play-the-ball situation.
