2013 Hong Kong Sevens Tickets

The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union publicizes another sell-out for the world famous Hong Kong Rugby Sevens tournament. Only 4,000 tickets reserved for public sale were spread today via the HKRFU’s first ever public ticket ballot. At the close of the registration period for the ballot, on Monday 4th February, a total of 25,154 ballots were received applying for 49,602 tickets. Of the applications received, 95% requested to purchase the maximum individual allocation of two event tickets, should their ballots be drawn. The demand for an additional 49,602 Sevens tickets over and above the 36,000 tickets distributed to date, clearly surpasses the 40,000-seat capacity of the Hong Kong Stadium. The HKRFU welcomes the continued strong public demand for the Hong Kong Sevens Tickets. The public ballot has helped us to more accurately quantify the demand for Sevens tickets for the first time. This information is an important verification in our drive to work with all relevant parties for the development of a larger stadium in Hong Kong.
The public demand for Hong Kong Rugby Sevens Tickets far exceeds the capacity of the Hong Kong Stadium but the HKRFU is hopeful that the switch to a public ballot has at least offered all applicants an equal opportunity to purchase tickets, whilst at the same time offering a more convenient method for interested spectators to apply for these tickets. The ballot draw was held on Thursday 7th February from 1.00 to 4.00pm. The draw, which was attended by a representative of Price Waterhouse Coopers, was conducted via an electronic random number generating system developed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and verified by BMM Compliance, a long-established and experienced private independent gaming certification lab.

Fullback Rugby Sports

Fullback is one of the places in rugby league football. Wearing jersey number 1, the fullback is a member of the team's back-line 1-7. The position's name comes from their duty of status the utmost back in defense, behind the forwards 13-8, half backs 7 and 6 and three-quarter backs 5-2. Fullbacks are therefore the last line of defense, having to tackle any resistance players and relater the ball from any kicks that make it through their team-mates. It is for this reason that the fullback is also referred to as the sweeper or custodian. Fullback is also a significant position in attack, handling the ball nearly every set of six and often running into open space on the field. With the two half backs and hooker, fullback is one of the four key positions that make up what is referred to as a team's 'spine'.
Because the fullback makes the most support runs, players in the role absolute more very high-intensity running than any other position. The Rugby League International Federation's Laws of the Game state that the 'full back' is to be numbered 1. Traditionally players' jersey numbers have wide-ranging, and in the modern Super League, each squad's players are assigned entity numbers regardless of place. For the upcoming tour, we are looking at players who can play in more than one position and understand those positions to come up with the desired results,” the tactician added. With Kenya seeking to bounce back after their early momentum in Adelaide and Dubai was halted at Port Elizabeth, the team pledged to find their way back to the top. The Hong Kong Rugby Sevens has grown into one of the biggest rugby events on the international sporting calendar with teams from the world’s top rugby nations competing in lightning-fast 15-minute matches in front of 40,000 spectators.

GPS System for Kenya National Rugby Sevens

For the first time, the Kenya national rugby sevens team will have Global Positioning Satellite facilities analyzing the performance. Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has partnered with service provider Gammin to roll out the system that will allow coaches to make calls on players by using data availed by their performances in matches and training. This emerged on Wednesday during the naming of the squad for the next two legs of the HSBC World Sevens Series in Wellington, New Zealand and Las Vegas as the competition reaches its mid way mark with Kenya lying sixth on the log. We will start using the GPS systems as early as next week. The units are already in the country and we will start with ten units to monitor ten core players including the seven on the pitch.
The system helps in monitoring the heart and work rate of the player. We will be able to make decisions in an informed way such as during substitutions. We will know whether the player is tired or is not training since we can monitor a player every day,” Philip Jalango, the national team’s elite performance official at KRU explained. Team captain, Andrew Amonde, hailed the introduction of the satellite system saying it would help in evaluating the players’ output. They will enhance the performance of our players and help the management in building better players. We are looking forward to see the positive things they will bring to our team and we welcome them,” the skipper added.
The most important thing to understand is that the changes are positional and we are looking at the combinations to work through. Non-travelling reserves are crucial because it’s a crucial time and there is a short turn around between New Zealand and Las Vegas and Hong Kong and Japan, Felix Ochieng, the assistant coach and analyst who named the squad outlined. For the upcoming tour, we are looking at players who can play in more than one position and understand those positions to come up with the desired results,” the tactician added. England Won Women Six Nations Rugby Tournament

Inspiration is the biggest problem for a team toward the inside a competition they have won seven times in a row, six of them with a clean sweep. It will not be for England's women, though, as they begin the latest defense of their Six Nations crown, because 17 of their squad have been without them for this year's event, including the entire favorite back division. The England women's rugby team should be recognized by now as a gravely inspirational outfit. Not only are they on seven Six Nations titles, they are unbeaten in their past six matches against New Zealand. They have a management group working on strategy; and it is its finding that they should be aiming to win the two World Cups women's rugby will be contesting over the next two years  the Sevens World Cup at the end of June in Moscow and the XVs next year in France.
They wanted to give the player coaching staff the best opportunity to win the two World Cups," says Sarah Hunter, who will be captain for this Six Nations. It makes it a challenge for us. Fair chunks of our squad have gone off to play, which is fantastic. We're fully behind them. Where it leaves us is with a new crop of players coming in, which is really good. A lot of them have a few caps but haven't necessarily had an opportunity to establish them. Now they have it. And next year, when it's our turn to have a shot at a World Cup they can say they want to be a part of it. England are facing a treacherous few weeks. As if winning the title seven times in a row is not enough to wind up the opposition, being seen to remove some of their best players from this year's competition may cause outright offence.
England going into it with an inexperienced squad, they are likely to expose themselves to some angry international rugby teams. As rugby players you want to be challenged and work hard. If it's a nail-biter, you get more of a buzz from winning those games and you learn more about yourselves as well. These are exciting times for women's rugby. Inclusion in the Olympics may well prove more of a boon for it than for the men's game. Certainly, it raises the stakes for this year's Sevens World Cup, hence England's radical selection policy. 2013 Hong Kong Sevens started from 22 March 2013 at Hong Kong Stadium. Underwater Rugby (UWR)

Underwater rugby (UWR) is a water sport that has its beginning in the physical fitness preparation of German diving clubs and has small in ordinary with rugby football apart from for the name. It is played underwater in a pond with a depth of 3.5m to 5m and goals weighty metal buckets with a width of about 40 cm at the bottom of the pool. Two teams blue and white, each with six players and six replacements, try to score a goal by sharing the slightly unenthusiastically buoyant ball filled with saltwater into the opponents’ goal. It is a fast and fatiguing game therefore, the subs replace their players on the fly.

The ball may be passed in any course but must not leave the water. It "flies" about 2m or 3m before water confrontation stops it. This makes good tactics and good positioning necessary. The players can use different capability, force, speed and simply low utilization of oxygen is all also essential. Not many people play underwater rugby, so it is frequently played in varied male-female teams. Since 1972, when the game was documented as a sport by the Union of German Sport Divers (VDST), official German championships have taken place. It is an informal German Championship took place in 1971. The first German Championship was detained in Mulheim, of course, and the first German winner was TSC Mulheim.

The Singapore team also grasps the record for the biggest loss in an international test match ever. This was a 164 - 13 losses to Hong Kong in 1994, in what was a Rugby World Cup be eligible match. Much bad feeling still environs the inclusion of emigrant players in the squad, despite the wealth of international knowledge that has been bring from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, England, Wales, Scotland, France, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Tahiti.
