A rugby shirt frequently
referred to as a rugby jersey, is a shirt worn by players of rugby union. It
usually has short sleeves, though long sleeves are common as well. Rugby shirts
have a push button opening at the top, in a comparable style to polo shirts but
with a stiffer collar. Modern rugby shirts often have a very small collar so as
to provide less material for a potential tackler to latch onto even though such
an action is illegal in a game. Rugby shirts traditionally have rubber buttons
so that they would, if pulled on in a game, come undone rather than pop off.
The Hong Kong national
rugby union team is the third tier rugby playing nation of Hong Kong. They
first played in 1969 and have played 78 games to date. They have yet to qualify
for the Rugby World Cup. Rugby union in Hong Kong is administered by the HongKong Sevens. The Hong Kong national rugby union team shirt is blue color
with white and red lining. Rugby shirt like most
sports top will typically have a logo on stomach area and a variety on the
back, though tops not meant for competitive play will usually abandon the
variety. Brands of support are common, and generally appear on the waist of the
clothing.
A traditional design of Soccer clothing includes five or six
horizontally lines or "hoops" in changing colors. A variety of
football groups have implemented this design, such as Celtic, A queen Park
Ranger, Reading, Flamengo, Wearing Lisbon and, formerly, Parma. Rugby shirt by
comparison typically has straight lines. 2013 Hong Kong Sevens
